Mission/Purpose
The mission of the Associate in Science (A.S.) in Business Analytics degree is to educate, train, and prepare students to enter business analyst positions in a wide range of industry environments. The program is a balance between theory and practice that enhances the educational experiences and employment potential for students. The program emphasizes essential business knowledge, technical skills, and management skills in addition to critical-thinking, analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
Program Overview
The Associate in Science (A.S.) in Business Analytics will provide you with skills in a broad range of business functions including management, marketing, accounting, computer applications, data visualization, database report creation, and artificial intelligence (AI) in business. The program culminates with a required capstone course which builds on the business knowledge, skills, and abilities learned throughout the program with the completion of a capstone project. Whether you are interested in a career as a management analyst, budget analyst, database administrator, operations research analyst, or other business analytics related position, this program will give you the foundation needed to take you wherever you want to go in your career.
Classes are available throughout Duval and Nassau counties at one of our convenient locations or entirely online for flexibility. After earning your degree, you can choose to begin a career in business analytics or related business field or continue on to pursue one of our bachelor’s degrees in program, program, or program for increased employment options and advanced opportunities.
A grade of C or higher must be achieved in all professional core courses.
