Mission/Purpose
The Adult Education - Academic Skills Building Mathematics program provides students with critical thinking skills to prepare them for College/Career Readiness and Success.
Program Overview
The ASB Program is a non-credit program designed to develop the literacy and numeracy skills necessary for students to be successful workers, citizens, and family members. The Academic Skills Building (ASB) programs are offered for Mathematics and Reasoning through Language Arts. Students may enroll in coursework in either or both program options
Application Procedure
In order to enroll in the Adult English for Speakers of Other Languages program, students must:
Be 16 years of age or older.
May already have a high school diploma (by passing the GED® or by graduating from a K-12 High School or Adult High School) and have a goal of preparing for postsecondary education and employment (may not be enrolled in the K-12 educational system).
Score within the EFL 5 and 6 of the ASB Mathematics course as measured by FLDOE-approved assessments.
