The Career

With an Associate in Science degree in Interior Design Technology, graduates will qualify for entry-level positions with interior design studios, architectural firms, furniture and design showrooms, and other businesses specializing in interior furnishings. Types of employment include interior designer, design assistant, sales representative, CAD operator, interior decorator, design consultant, and space planner.

Certification/Licensing

Graduates of the A.S. in Interior Design Technology degree program fulfill the educational requirements needed for eligibility to take the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam. Courses within the program may help students prepare to pursue optional certifications, including LEED Associate, Evidence-Based Design, Kitchen and Bath, and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist.
