Description

This course is designed to provide students with the theory, application, and evaluation of advanced cardiac procedures in cardiac ultrasound. These applications include ultrasound enhancing agents, speckle tracking strain imaging, 3D/4D echocardiography as well as a review in stress echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography. Students will gain knowledge with the echocardiographic role in left ventricular assist devices, transcatheter valve repair or replacements, and left atrial appendage devices.
