Description

This course provides students with the ability to demonstrate their didactic knowledge of emergency preparedness and protective practices, clinical laboratory procedures, clinical microscopy techniques, and basic office examination procedures through hands on performance in the skills lab. The student will demonstrate proficiency in obtaining vital signs, disinfection and sterilization techniques using an autoclave, performing minor treatments, performing basic diagnostic medical assisting procedures, and performing basic X-ray procedures.
