Description
This course is designed for students who plan to major in business or social sciences. Topics include limits, continuity, differentiation, and integration of algebraic, exponential, and logarithmic functions with an emphasis on applications in business, economics, and social sciences. This course addresses the use of numerical, graphical, and analytical methods as well as a wide variety of applications to foster scientific and quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and an appreciation for calculus. This course does not satisfy degree requirements for students majoring in mathematics or engineering. This course fulfills the Gordon Rule computation requirement and must be completed with a grade of C or higher (pursuant to State Board of Education Rule 6A-10.030.
