Description
This course is a survey of diverse cultural forms, practices, and expressions from the beginning of the 20th century to the present. The course emphasizes both the contributions to and interplay between global cultures through forms of cultural production in the 20th and 21st centuries. As a humanities course, the curriculum will emphasize the critical analysis of cultural achievements including (but not limited to) philosophy, religion, art and performing arts, architecture, literature, film, music and history. This course fulfills the Gordon Rule writing requirement and must be completed with a grade of C or higher pursuant to State Board of Education Rule 6A-10.030.
