Description
This course is a survey of cultural forms, practices, and expressions from the Medieval/Renaissance to the late 19th century. The course emphasizes both the contributions to and interplay between major cultures of the Global North in shaping the Western World's narrative of civilization. As a humanities course, this course will study societies of the Renaissance to the Industrial Revolution through analysis and investigation of their achievements, to include their philosophy, art, architecture, literature and/or other cultural expressions. This course fulfills the Gordon Rule writing requirement and must be completed with a grade of C or higher pursuant to State Board of Education Rule 6A-10.030.
