EMS 2668 - Paramedic Clinical III (Credit Hours: 3)

Description

This is the third and final clinical course in a sequence of instruction for Paramedic. Medical facility experience includes pediatrics, critical care units, and psychiatric, field experience with an ALS Provider and Community Service opportunity.

EMS 2602, EMS 2602L and EMS 2667

Corequisites

EMS 2603 and EMS 2603L

Conditions

A minimum grade of C or higher is required.

401.2701(1)(b) 2. F.S.: Paramedic programs must be available only to Florida certified emergency medical technicians or an emergency medical technician applicant who will obtain Florida certification prior to completion of phase one of the paramedic program.

Community service (all hours gratis) are a requirement of this course because it helps students engage in the course material in new ways, reinforce skills, and encourages students to become aware of, and responsive to, our community's needs.

Must be admitted to the Emergency Medical Services (E.M.S.) (2251) (A.S.) or Paramedic (6393) (T.C.).

This course emphasizes work based learning.
