Description
The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the basic principles of oral and maxillofacial radiology. The radiographic examination plays an important role in the diagnostic process in dentistry in conjunction with the clinical examination. The student must possess a sound knowledge of the proper use of dental radiography equipment, radiation safety, exposing, processing and mounting dental radiographs, and recognition of a diagnostic quality film.
