Description
This course is designed to provide an overview of the Internet and its most important services. After a short overview of basic computer and Internet concepts, the course will focus on how to use and search the Web in addition to creating a personal Web page using HTML. Also, other services available on the Internet will be covered including FTP, E-Mail and Internet searching and social media such as Twitter and Facebook. The course also includes a hands-on component that will allow students to develop proficiency in each of the service areas identified above with the Internet Explorer browser or its equivalent.
