Description

This course is designed to familiarize individuals with current and emerging electronic technologies using the Internet. Topics include using Internet technology for business advantage, electronic funds transfer and electronic data interchange, electronic commerce's impact on the economy, business opportunities in electronic commerce, electronic commerce website design, social, political, legal and ethical issues associated with electronic commerce, and business plans for technology ventures. The purpose of this course is to educate a new generation of managers, planners, analysts, and programmers about the use and potential of electronic commerce. Fifteen hours of electronic commerce website development are part of this course. Students should have previous coursework or experience with computers and the Internet prior to taking this course.
