Description
This introductory level course provides an overview of the history and evolution of air transportation, from the Wright Brothers to the Boeing 787 and beyond. Topics range from the early pioneers of flight, through air mail, airline, military development, and up to modern day air carriers and unmanned flight. Careers in aviation and aerospace will also be examined, along with a review of the National Airspace System, Air Traffic Control, and future developments in aviation.
