Program Overview
As a network infrastructure, network systems or network administrator, you are responsible for installing, configuring, and administering workstations and network operating systems and services. This program begins by teaching you the basic skills and knowledge needed to work as an entry-level computer technician or desktop support specialist. You then learn to administer network systems and services preparing you for work as an entry-level network infrastructure, network systems or network administrator.
All courses in this technical certificate are also included in the Network Systems Technology (A.S.) degree. You have the option of applying all of the coursework completed in this program toward an associate’s degree.
A minimum grade of C or higher must be achieved in all professional coursework.
Math Pathway
Students in this program are not required to complete math courses unless they are listed as part of the certificate program. If you plan to pursue the degree program in this same field, please note that this certificate articulates directly into a degree that includes a Mathematical Thinking in Context math pathway.
