PHT 1120C - Applied Kinesiology with Lab This course builds on a basic knowledge of the skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems. The integration of these systems to produce motion is studied. Critical thinking skills are encouraged so as to analyze the relationships of these systems to normal movement, posture, and gait. The development of observation and palpation skills is emphasized. The concepts of range of motion, stretching, and basic exercise are introduced.
Prerequisites: BSC 2085C Corequisites: None Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours: 2 lecture hours; 3 laboratory hours Conditions: Admission to the PTA program. Students must complete this course with a grade of C or higher. Degrees Offered: A.S.
