OTH 1704 - Professionalism and Documentation in Healthcare This course explores the development of professional behaviors and documentation skills of future occupational therapy practitioners, business aspects of professional practice, leadership and management principles and preparation to work in an academic setting. Topics include professional development, ethics, quality assurance, reimbursement, leadership traits and styles, legislation, basic management skills, and high impact practices in higher education. Documentation for accountability, development of a teaching philosophy, and discussion of the varied roles of the OTA as practitioner, educator and research assistant is addressed.
Prerequisites: OTH 1003C Corequisites: None Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours: 3 Conditions: Must be accepted into the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Degrees Offered: A.S.
