GEX 0170B - High School Equivalency Comprehensive (Face-to-Face) The purpose of the GED® Integrated Preparation: High School Equivalency program is to prepare students to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the Official GED® Tests and be awarded a state of Florida High School Diploma. Integrated programs accelerate students’ progress and make the basic skills component more relevant to their interests and career goals. This model has been shown to help adult learners obtain postsecondary certificates and achieve basic skill gains more quickly than when they are enrolled in traditional adult education programs.
This non-credit course is comprised of four 16-hour sections (Reasoning Through, Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies) that are contextualized with information from the building construction technology trades.
Prerequisites: None Corequisites: GEX 0170C Credit Hours: None Contact Hours: 44.8 Conditions: Face-to-Face; Scale score of 576 or above on TABE Reading; or 596 or above on TABE Math or its equivalent on any state approved assessment. Degrees Offered: None
