COP 2805C - Advanced Java Programming

This course is a second semester course in Java programming, designed as a follow-on to COP 2551C. Topics include interfaces, packages, properties, exception handling, native methods, multimedia, multithreading, and networking capabilities, and a continuation of Java’s object-oriented features with emphasis on class implementation. Other topics include advanced GUI design using Java’s FX package with emphasis on event handling, use and development of Java beans, and database and network applications.

Prerequisites: COP 2551C or COP 2800C each with a grade of “C” or better.
Corequisites: None.
Credit Hours: 3
Contact Hours: 3 lecture hours; 1 laboratory hour
Conditions: None.
