EEC 4706 - Language and Literacy in Early Childhood Education This course examines the theory, research, and instructional practices that pertain to the way young children learn to read, write, listen, and speak in early childhood education classrooms. Students will analyze literacy stages and plan appropriate materials and activities to apply this content knowledge. Field experience required (10 contact hours). Pre-requisites: LAE 4416.
