AMH 2092 - African-American History and Culture (From African Origins to 1877)

This course is a general survey on the most significant aspects of African American history from its African origins through Reconstruction. The course will trace the evolution of the African American experience from the first African Slaves brought to Virginia to the Post Civil War freedmen struggling to find their place in society.
Prerequisites: Qualify for enrollment in ENC 1101.
