Description

This course builds on a basic knowledge of the skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems. The integration of these systems to produce motion is studied. Critical thinking skills are encouraged to analyze the relationships of these systems to normal movement, posture and gait. The development of observation and palpation skills is emphasized. The concepts of range of motion, stretching, and basic exercise are introduced.

Conditions

Admission to the PTA program. Students must complete this course with a grade of C or higher.
