Description

This course acquaints students with the development of science, the integrating principles and theories in the earth sciences, the practice of the scientific method and with a useful knowledge of selected areas of geology, astronomy, meteorology and oceanography. Presentation involves lectures, demonstrations and films. The course is for general education and is not designed essentially as an introductory or preparatory course for any of the specific sciences.
