Description

This course is a comprehensive one semester biochemistry course intended for science majors. Course topics to be covered include physical biochemistry, intermediary metabolism of key catabolic and anabolic pathways as well as the mechanisms for in vivo regulation of these pathways, and enzyme kinetics. Students will also learn about the structures and functions of proteins, lipids and carbohydrates and how these biologically central molecules are synthesized and turned over.
